CURRENT EXHIBITION

The Body Remains is a visual excavation—a search for presence in the aftermath, for language in what the body leaves behind. Through photo collages, photomontages, and intervened archival and original photographs, this series explores the layered persistence of memory, trauma, migration, and resilience. These images do not document; they haunt. They ask what lingers when history becomes sediment, when bodies become traces, when time overlays itself like torn paper.

In this work, the photographic surface becomes a contested space—intervened, reassembled. I work with absence as much as with presence, letting fragments speak louder than complete forms. Rupture, repetition, and layering are strategies to interrupt linear narrative, to insist on multiplicity and return.

The Body Remains is not only about physical survival but about the ways bodies carry landscapes, violence, tenderness, and silence across borders, generations, and states of being. It is a meditation on what is carried forward—not always by choice—and what cannot be erased.

What remains is not just the body, but the mark it makes: a trace, a shadow, a wound, a gesture still unfolding.

About
